On January 23/24, just under 200 days before the start of the Olympic Games, the EOA Executive Board met in the French capital at the invitation of the National Olympic Academy of France (ANOF).
In the Maison du Sport Français, they discussed and set the schedule of activities for the next two years. Among other things, an interview format is to be planned in relation to the upcoming Olympics. The EOA will submit several Erasmus+ project applications for 2025 onwards. It is also intended to organise another Regional Seminar for the NOAs in Western Europe based on the success of the previous editions in Klaipeda, Lithuania and Eger, Hungary. However, the focus is on the annual EOA Congress, which will take place in Ancient Olympia from September 24 to 28, 2024, and will be hosted by the Hellenic Olympic Academy in cooperation with the International Olympic Academy.
The Executive Board has appointed the members of the EOA Commissions from 2024 to 2028 after many NOAs had submitted numerous nominations. The new commissions will meet for the first time at the end of February.
The EOA would like to thank the National Olympic Academy of France, particularly Marion Guigon-Lacroix, for the excellent working atmosphere. A tour through the metropolis provided lasting impressions of the host city for the Olympic Games 2024.
