ANOF brings Olympic spirit to universities

The National Olympic Academy of France (ANOF) launched an Olympic and Paralympic programme for universities. The “ANOF Student Olympic and Paralympic Programme” aims to engage the student community in the Olympic and Paralympic dynamic, by activating the second objective of the “Generation 2024” label, and to build the legacy of the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

The programme is based on the dissemination of the Olympic and Paralympic spirit and the promotion of sport among university students, including its scientific, sporting, educational and cultural dimensions.

The programme raises awareness of the importance of sport for health, promote Olympic and Paralympic values, instil an Olympic and Paralympic culture, encourage the participation of volunteers, change people’s attitudes towards disability and promote initiatives by students and young doctoral candidates for scientific research on Olympic and Paralympic themes. The programme includes theoretical plenary sessions, sport and para-sport training, information and exchange workshops with experts and/or Olympic and Paralympic athletes, and Participation in a sports event as a volunteer for the Territorial Olympic and Paralympic Relays.

The ANOF Student Olympic and Paralympic Programme is an excellent initiative to prepare university students for the upcoming Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. This innovative and dynamic programme provides an excellent opportunity for institutions of higher education to promote their projects and benefit from the support of the Olympic Academy. The different dimensions of the programme offer students a varied and engaging experience that encourages them to get involved in sport and volunteering.
