2023 turns its spotlight to the continent’s northeast when Vilnius becomes the centre of Olympic values promotion in Europe. The Lithuanian Olympic Academy is hosting the EOA Congress from 8-11 November 2023.
Congress theme: The Olympic Movement in a Changing World
The last few years have been marked by fundamental changes in the world. Political, social, climatic, health, and economic crises have turned the international politics and power relations upside down. These new realities have also had a big impact on sport and the organisation of major sporting events such as the Olympic Games. Between tradition and necessary adaptations, the Olympic Movement has to react. This year’s EOA Congress will examine some of these pressing issues with experts from the academia and representatives from organised sport and discuss how to respond to these challenges.
