Despite the ongoing Russian aggression on the territory of Ukraine, the Ukrainian Olympic Academy remains an active participant in the international Olympic Movement. As in previous years, the Olympic Day was successfully held in all 26 regions of Ukraine under the motto “Ukraine among friends. Let’s move together to victory for the sake of peace!”.
Olympic quizzes, brain-rings, athletics and cycling races were held as part of the Olympic Day celebration. In addition, seminars “Integration of Olympic education into the system of educational institutions”, “Olympic Day – the world holiday of Olympic sports” took place for students and lecturers of higher educational institutions.
On improvised venues, famous Ukrainian Olympians passed on their knowledge and skills to the younger generation and were a vivid example of the embodiment of the principles of unity, friendship and support for children and youth. The Olympic Academy of Ukraine has prepared a traditional Olympic diary for the Olympic Day.
The Olympic Day has united the children and youth of Ukraine around the Olympic values – friendship, excellence and respect for the sake of peace.
