EOA Seminar Klaipeda on 24-26 August: EOA launches a new event series

SAVE THE DATE!

The European Olympic Academies is very pleased to announce a new event series called “EOA Seminars”. The first edition will be hosted by the Lithuanian Olympic Academy at the University of Klaipeda on 24-26 August 2022.

In this series of regional workshops, experts and NOA delegates explore current issues in the Olympic Movement and means to apply them to the practice of the National Olympic Academies. At the same time, this setting provides a forum for academies from neighbouring countries to meet and share their knowledge and expertise.

Last week, EOA Executive Director Soenke Schadwinkel met with Prof. Dr. Asta Sarkauskiene, President of the Lithuanian Olympic Academy, and Dr. Arturas Razbadauskas, Rector of the University of Klaipeda, to plan the contents and schedule of the seminar.

The EOA Seminar Klaipeda in summer 2022 will geographically cover the northeast of Europe. The neighbouring National Olympic Academies or Committees will be invited to Lithuania to the hybrid event, while all EOA members and interested parties will be able to join the lectures and panel discussion online.

Following the seminar in Lithuania, further editions are planned in South-Eastern and Western Europe in the near future, details are currently under discussion.

An official invitation, the seminar topic, the event schedule and a list of speakers will be published soon.

The Lithuanian port city of Klaipeda marks the venue of the first EOA seminar.
