EOA at FISU World Conference 2023: “University Sports: Embracing a Colorful World”

On July 29-31, 2023, leading experts of the EOA took an active part in the FISU World Conference in Chengdu, China. The conference was a strong beacon, attended by over 3,500 participants, both online and on-site.

At the conference, EOA Vice-President Prof. Dr. Mariia Bulatova hosted the Plenary and Parallel Sessions “Culture in a More Inclusive World” and “Culture and Sport Behavior”. At the same time, more members of the EOA family were involved in the event. A Plenary Session was hosted by the President of French NOA, Dr. Arnaud Richard. Furthermore, IOA Honorary Dean Prof. Kostas Georgiadis made a keynote presentation “PE, Sport and Olympic Pedagogy” and the President of the German NOA, Prof. Gudrun Doll-Tepper spoke a keynote about “Culture, Education and Sport in a More Inclusive World”.

The Poster-session for young participants was also a very interesting activity. The best works of young scientists were evaluated by a jury and honoured with prizes.

With the theme “University Sports: Embracing a Colorful World”, this conference aimed to centre on “Sports, Health, Technology, and Culture” to actively promote international exchanges and cooperation in university sports, technology and culture. Conference participants engaged in fruitful discussions with each other, learning from each other, and jointly creating an academic feast. They upheld traditions while embracing innovations, achieving continuous growth, generating new ideas, and reachingnew consensus. It has made a positive contribution to the healthy development of global university sports and the progress in building a community with a shared future for humanity.

This conference has become a wonderful and memorable academic journey for every participant.
