Projects of the Academy
The Cyprus NOA hosts every year a Synod, which in basis follows the topic of the IOA’s annual Synod in Olympia. The NOA also hosts the Student’s Conference for High School children and the Conference for Elementary School Kids. The NOA also publishes various publications, regarding Olympic Education, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cyprus.
History of the Academy
The National Olympic Academy of Cyprus was founded on 30 March 1987 in Nicosia, in the presence of the President of the Republic Spyros Kyprianou and the president of the IOA Nikos Filaretos. The first Synod of the Cyprus NOA took place on 27-28 May 1987.
