Despite the ongoing challenges faced by Ukraine, the Olympic spirit continues to unite and inspire the country’s youth. In a remarkable demonstration of resilience and hope, the All-Ukrainian educational, sports and cultural event “Faster, Higher, Stronger – Together!” took place in the balneological resort of Truskavets in the foothills of the Ukrainian Carpathians.
The event brought together 260 young athletes from all 24 regions of Ukraine, offering them a safe space to experience Olympic values, develop their sporting skills, and celebrate unity. Truskavets, located at 400 metres altitude and just 84 kilometres south of Lviv, provided the perfect setting for this inspiring gathering. The young participants were warmly welcomed by the hosts, organisers, and distinguished guests, including the President of the National Olympic Committee of Ukraine, Vadym Guttsait, Olympic champions, and representatives of the Olympic Academy of Ukraine.
Over the course of three days, the children competed in a wide range of sports disciplines such as mini-football, swimming, curling and basketball. In line with Olympic values, the event also promoted creativity and education, with cultural contests, Olympic quizzes and competitions like “Who is more accurate and agile” included in the programme. The winners were recognised with cups, medals, diplomas and special gifts from the Ukrainian Olympic family. A highlight of the event was the symbolic mass run titled “1,192 Steps to Victory!”, which left a lasting impression on all participants.

These days in Truskavets were a testament to the power of sport and education in bringing hope, motivation and joy to young people, even in difficult times. The EOA congratulates the Olympic Academy of Ukraine on this successful initiative and their ongoing commitment to Olympic values and youth development, which left a lasting impression on all participants.
